“Leon” is lion in Spanish. It’s fitting, really, considering that this city is so hot it makes everyone in it feel like they’re being swallowed alive by a giant, concrete, killer cat. Leon wants me dead. Seriously. I’ve developed an eye infection in both eyes and yesterday I counted 52 bug bites…and those were just the ones on my legs. I was hoping that they were just mosquito bites but judging by the vast number of them, I’m thinking that I may have fleas. Or bedbugs.
I can’t decide which would be worse.
